Mr. Smith was hired to trim a few bushes in my yard and lay mulch. What I came home to was my 7ft Crape Myrtle tree cut down to 3 feet. I spent 3 years trimming my Crape Myrtles to a beautiful full tree shape.He was never asked to cut my trees. He also cut ALL my Hydranges down to the ground which now are not blooming this year. I have spoken with him at great length many times and he had agreed to replace my tree but now has told me he has changed his mind. Since he didn't kill it he wont replace it. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. He lied to me, gave me the run around for two months
Tuppy Smith is a con as well as Southside Nursery. After he did some landscaping for us in our front yard, we hired him to build a rock patio in our backyard. After showing us pictures of what the patio would look like, we payed him A LOT of money. What we ended up getting was a nightmare.
First, instead of using mortar he used what he called "gator dust" which turned into loose gravel. The rock he used was so loose that it was falling apart a few months after he was done. With loose gravel and loose rock everywhere, I called him and threatened to sue. After 3 to 4 months he came back out and "fixed it." The "fix" did nothing but attach a few of the loose rocks back onto the patio that was still crumbling. I threatened him again and he redid the entire thing with mortar. After 6 weeks, the mortar has turned into dust and now i'm having to pay someone to undo the entire patio and correctly do it. Our realtor said that our house is unsellable until it's fixed.
DON'T USE TUPPY SMITH!
We also found a lot of trash under the trees he planted in our front yard.
If you want quality service call someone who knows what they are doing. This guy has no clue.
