We have been living with this concrete mess for 3 months. Construction of pool started beginning of May. That means this has been going on for 5 months. This has been an absolute nightmare. Buyer beware! Once they got your money, they are gone.
Update # 2: Their attorney sent a letter to BBB. Which is just totally ludicrous! They enjoyed all the benefits of claiming as being BBB accredited business with an A+ rating when it suits them but as soon as there is a legitamate complaint and they were asked to do binding arbitration, they can just claim ignorance and say they didn't understand the contract with BBB. Really? What they said is "Well, we just quit the BBB".
Update: After trying for almost 2 months to come to a resolution through BBB the company Dynamic Pool Designs refused binding arbitration, which they are required by BBB contract. The company never communicated themselves with BBB, only through their attorney. Never offered any solution. We were still trying to get this resolved outside of court. I guess they knew they couldn't explain their way out of this one. If this doesn't look like they are trying to hide something or are at fault, what does? One estimate we have to fix this says almost $26,000 another $30,000. We cannot let this go. I still remember the words of Milford Prater saying, " they are young but they are good people and they will make this right". Really?
This company poured 1800SF concrete decking around our swimming pool that cracked 8 days later. Numerous cracks over the entire concrete deck. The decking was supposed to be broomed to prevent slickness, but this was not done correctly and it is dangerously slick. Additionally, the decking grade is off at both ends of the pool and water runs into the pool when it rains. At first the company said they would look for a solution, but when concrete experts said it was not properly done and would be expensive to repair they walked away from the problem and started claiming they were minor cracks. The company still refuses to offer a solution or fix the shoddy job that their sub contractor Shasha concrete did. On the BBB website the company claims they have 21 years experience but bought the company 2 years ago so they really only have 2 years experience. Buyer beware! They also use the former owners name of Dynamic Designs, Pools and Spas. Make sure you are looking at their work not the former owners. Very inexperienced!
Also because they refused arbitration, they lost their A+ rating and accreditation. BBB is being updated as we speak.
This review is about Dynamic Pool Design, LLC which bought Dynamic Designs Pool & Spa. Which is very confusing because they use both names. When clicking on Dynamic Pool Designs it takes you to Dynamic Designs Pool & Spa website, which has only pools in the gallery of former owners Michael Simons and Milford Prater. Copyright date is 2011. Also under contact info, Michael Simons gmail comes up. When clicking on their logo it takes you to the former owners Facebook page. Again pics of their pools. So who are the real owners? Jesse and Dustin Ray just purchased the business in October of 2015. They own the company not even two years yet, plus neither one of owners have had any pool building knowledge. One was working as a deputy Sheriff and the other worked at a bank. We had a horrible experience with this company and would not recommend them to anybody. Their concrete subcontractor "SHASHA CONCRETE" (who is not licensed, which we just found out) installed over 1800SF of colored concrete pool decking around our swimming pool and about 8 days later we started seeing severe cracks that go through the concrete. They claim we were fully aware he wasn't licensed. Which is another bold lie! Do you really think we have had an unlicensed concrete contractor pour over 1800 SF of pool decking on a $60000 pool construction? All we ever heard was how great a guy he is and how popular he is. He does excellent work, yadayadayada.... After that we found out from the Ready Mix company, that he mostly does chicken coops and barns. He (Shasha) also told us, after the fact and when we had issues, that he really doesn't know anything about pool decking and all he does for this pool company is pour concrete. Then he told us even though sometimes he knows it's wrong, they tell me to pour anyway because they want their money ( really our money). The first crack was approximately 20 feet long and is over 50 feet. Within 2 months there are other numerous cracks. When it rains it looks like a map. The concrete was also not properly finished (broomed) and is dangerously slick. The grading is also wrong and water runs into the pool at both ends when it rains. At first Dynamic Pool Designs said they were looking for a solution, but after several concrete experts said the concrete was improperly installed and that obviously there were no precautions taken to prevent the problems. It will also be very expensive to fix the problems. The company does not respond to any of our issues. Last thing we heard, when messaging Jesse Ray, "talk to my attorney".
